Section 10: Officers and Duties. There shall be four officers of the Board consisting of a President, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and a Social Media Director. This may have to change as the board size fluctuates.
Only members who have served for at least one year on the Board may apply for an Officer position. However, if no current members want to apply for an Officer position, we will open the roles for new members except president.
Officers are elected for a year.
The officers shall be elected a three-fourths majority by the Board at the June Board Meeting after the other members are seated.
Their duties are as follows:
The President shall send out meeting announcements and agenda, convene regularly scheduled Board meetings, preside or arrange for other members of the Board to preside at each meeting in the following order: Secretary and Treasurer.
The Secretary shall be responsible for keeping records of Board actions, including overseeing the taking of minutes at all board meetings, distributing copies of minutes to each Board member, and assuring that records are maintained.
The Treasurer shall make a report at least twice a year at a Board meeting. Treasurer shall prepare the budget, help develop fundraising plans, make financial information available to Board members and the public, and file taxes.
The Social Media Director shall prepare Social Media campaigns, keep LLLAB Social media accounts up to date, and encourage Board members to promote LLLAB on their own Social Media. The Social media Director may delegate some posting to Board members.
